Visit by RGBM Border Chaplain – Sunday, August 9, Ana Reza, the Bridge Chaplain for Rio Grande Borderland Ministries, will be at St. Mary’s to offer a forum about her ministry during the coffee hour. Come and learn about this vital outreach of the Diocese of the Rio Grande and how you might become involved.
Sunday Coffee Hour Refreshments – We have coffee hour every Sunday after the service, but we have very few people signed up to bring refreshments. A sign-up sheet is available on the bulletin board in Tarbell Hall. Please consider signing up to bring some goodies – either savory or sweet – to share.
Food Pantry – The item of the month for August is laundry detergent pods or dishwasher detergent pods. Please bring your donation to the office during the week, or you can leave your contributions in the narthex on Sunday.
Church Unbound – We are now part of the Church Unbound mission and we need donations of socks, lip balm, sunscreen, and pet food. Please see Donna Clopton to find out how you can help.
Snack Sunday for Church Unbound – Sunday, August 30, is Snack Sunday for Church Unbound. Please bring donations of snacks such as granola bars, individual packages of trail mix, nuts, fruit roll-ups, cheese and crackers, etc. Please label them for Snack Sunday and leave them in the Church Unbound box in the narthex. On August 30, we will gather after the service to assemble the snack bags.
Parish Picnic – Mark your calendars! The Parish Picnic will take place on Sunday, September 13, from 5:00-7:00.
Membership Update Forms – In an effort to ensure that our records are up to date, each family is requested to complete a Membership Update Form, along with an Emergency Contact Form. An envelope for each family containing these documents has been prepared and is on the table in the narthex. Please complete these forms at your earliest convenience and return them to the basket marked for them on the table.
Healing the Brokenhearted – Grief Happens! Grief happens to all of us for many reasons. If you are struggling with grief, please consider attending. There will be some interactive, introspective and learning components to this 6-week program to be held on Tuesday evenings, September 8 through October 13, from 5:30-7:00 in the Conference Room. Attendees may bring their own supper and eat together at 5:00. Registration is open to everyone; call 505-250-1610 or e-mail Mother Jan: motherjanhosea@gmail.com. A sign-up sheet is available on the table in the narthex.
Sabbatical – Mother Jan will be on sabbatical during the months of July and August. Don’t worry! We several guest preachers lined up, and let’s don’t forget our very own Father Dan.
